Off the Baggy became home. I didn't know I enjoyed writing. I didn't know I could generate a following. I didn't know my opinion mattered or that I would cultivate a community of people passionate about the Minnesota Twins.
When blogging found me during my traditional nine-to-five more than a decade ago, I wasn't even sure what that meant. From the electronic and video game world to sports, I found my niche. I understand that having a passion could generate an outlet for personality. I found a new avenue for myself.
Fast forward to where I am now. I have been published in newspapers, major online outlets, features in podcasts, radio shows, and news stations. From smaller blogs, to Twins Daily, to Minnesota Sports Fan, the journey has been nothing short of incredible.
With where Eric Strack has Minnesota Sports Fan currently, I find myself inundated. The growth of readership and coverage has been amazing. Continuing to write about sports has been an incredible hobby, and beyond rewarding.
It seems like this is as good of a time as any to sunset Off the Baggy. The archive and blog won't go anywhere, but there should be no expectation of future content.
If you want the most comprehensive coverage of all things major Minnesota sports, then Minnesota Sports Fan is where you should be consuming things. If you want to follow everything I am up to, then you know X (formerly Twitter) is always the answer.
No matter how bad the Pohlads get, or how dire it seems for the Twins, you can always catch me at Target Field too.
Off the Baggy was home, and will forever be what started the future.
